Hoosier Alliance Pulling Out of the MDwise Marketplace

mdwise-hoosier-alliance-logo

For 2015, Hoosier Alliance, an AmeriHealth Caritas Company, will no longer participate with Indiana-based nonprofit health care company MDwise as part of their Health Insurance Exchange MDwise Marketplace product. MDwise Hoosier Alliance offered coverage through the Exchange to 58 Indiana counties in 2014.

According to a statement released back in August, MDwise will take over all provider contracts previously held with Hoosier Alliance Marketplace plans, and MDwise will continue coverage for all MDwise Hoosier Alliance Marketplace members into 2015. Claim payment and pharmacy services will remain the same, and all pre-authorizations by Hoosier Alliance for 2015 will be honored by Mdwise.

Updated contact information for all of these services and more will be sent to providers in November. Also, MDwise Provider Relations will work with providers to ensure all contracts are up-to-date. Providers may be asked to sign an addendum to their previous contract in order to continue to participate with the MDwise Marketplace plans.

Hoosier Alliance will continue to provide coverage for low income Hoosiers through the Medicaid Hoosier Healthwise program and the Healthy Indiana Plan.
