WebMD's Medscape conducted a survey of more than 21,000 physicians in 25 specialties in early June 2012 to determine how many are using EHRs, which EHRs are providing physicians with the most satisfaction, and how EHR use overall is affecting how physicians practice medicine. We have extrapolated some of that data to show that as EHRs reach their critical mass, opinions are still divided about whether they help a physician practice more efficiently and relate to patients more directly.
