The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) reopened the Open Payments (aka Sunshine Act) website on August 15 after a 12-day shut down to resolve what were described as “technical issues.” Currently, only registered users have access to their data during a review and dispute period. The database will be made public according to schedule on September 30, 2014.
Effective September 15, 2014, several procedure codes inadvertently removed from the Family Planning Eligibility Program will once again be covered.
For the first time the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, (CMS) implementation of the Ambulatory Surgical Quality Reporting Program (ASQRP), ambulatory surgical centers (ASCs) must begin reporting measure ASC-8, Influenza Vaccination Coverage Among Healthcare Personnel. The reporting period opens October 1, 2014, for ASCs to report their vaccination status for the 2014-2015 flu season.
